First of all: i usually don`t like to write review, since this movie really awful. I felt i need to do this, so you didn`t do the same mistake that i do. Don`t waste your time. Second, i don`t understand the story. What kind of world it is. What faction is? So i just spend my precious 2 hours to watching something that i don`t understand nor the movie try to explain that Third: story very very bad. At the ending, your friends successfully infiltrate the enemy headquarter without even noticed by your enemy. If it`s one or two friends, that`s okay. But this is the whole battalion. I am not a big fan of sequels,as most of them disappoint,but T2 certainly does not.In fact,it`s a rare case,at least in my opinion, of a sequel actually surpassing the original film in terms of greatness.As in 99.9% of his films,Arnold Schwarzenegger is the good guy once again,but you don`t mind once you witness the incredible villain performance of Robert Patrick.This film is nothing short of a beginning to end thrill ride.Let us not forget the talents of Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong,who gave great supporting efforts.Thumbs up!

I have been a fan of Planet of the Apes since I was a kid in the 70s. I was instantly in love. I read the books of the films when I could get them (you couldn`t just pick up a movie back then. There was no video available). I avidly watched the TV show and I bought merchandise. I was besotted and have remained so. Maybe this has something to do with why nothing since has quite come close. Let`s get the good stuff out of the way. The animation /CGI of the apes is phenomenal. They look real. The idea that humans had almost been annihilated by a deadly flu is a great plot device and better than the reason given in the original films (a plague killed cats and dogs so we brought apes in to replace them as pets and then to be servants). That`s it. After that it`s all down hill. The story is riddled with holes and left me asking why, why, why throughout the film and long after it had ended. Forgive me but I have to get them off my chest. This is 10 years since Rise and no humans have been seen for 2 years but there is a huge city just over the bridge. It`s so close you can see it when the generator turns on the power and the lights come on. Hang on, they already had power anyway so the lights would already have been visible. The humans come to find the dam because they only have 2 weeks power left. Hey, great forward planning people. The man they bring who is the only person who knows about water power is a dick, such a badly drawn character but they need him. Then they dump him and get the power station working. Err how? Why do apes hunt stag? Why do they kill a bear after the way they have been treated? Don`t they appreciate letting wild animals live in the wild? Why do the apes ride horses? Are these the naturally wild horses normally found in forests? Why does Caesar`s son, Blue Eyes, side with Kobo the bonobo? When Kobo and his mates get the guns they have no problem in loading them and shooting them. Kobo is such a good shot he hits Caesar easily. When Blue Eye`s goes to Caesar`s house they all speak to him in English. When did he learn this? Caesar plops out the odd word now and again but surely he normally talks ape talk and sign language. After 10 years the camcorder still has battery life and works. It wasn`t looted or smashed. Gary Oldman`s character has no motivation for wanting a war. The humans have a "Tower" that strangely seems to be all scaffolding. Ideal if you`re a bunch of monkeys and want a fight. Oldman set C4 around the tower - just above his own head. Erm that might just kill you when you detonate it. It did but it didn`t kill our boring human hero who was standing there at the time. Caesar`s other half, Cornelia, is very ill and needs antibiotics. She gets them and feels as right as rain by the end of the same day. Caesar after being shot is really weak from blood loss. Never mind. Give him 2 days and he will fight like he`s on meth against Kobo Bonobo. There was more. So much more. On top of that it`s too dark and too long.

SYNOPSIS: During its return to the earth, commercial spaceship Nostromo intercepts a distress signal from a distant planet. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer. The entire crew is unaware of the impending nightmare set to descend upon them when the alien parasite planted inside its unfortunate host is birthed.

So what`s the deal with these critics scores? I find it incomprehensible that they can think that this movie is a modern masterpiece. Even if the logic centres of your brain don`t reject the deluge of plot holes, plot armoured characters, and jarringly injected political correctness, the story itself is total pants. This movie is so badly conceived and executed that it actually REDUCES the amount of joy you`ll get if you rewatch the older SW movies... well, if your any sort of fan of Luke anyway. The message of this movie is `Get with these nihilistic times sister, because being THE hero is lame, and we`re all heroes you see, so we all get a prize just for participating`. It doesn`t appear that any sort of decent script writer did because the pacing, humour, and shape of the movie are all way off. I imagine director Rian Johnson was given a checklist of crappy ideas and scenarios by Disney that he had to somehow shoehorn into it. That would help to explain the out-of-character and moronic behaviour, and the endless unneeded side stories that often had little, or nothing, to do with the plot. They just burned valuable time that would have better spent world building and developing some of the secondary characters properly. For instance: - What is the rest of the galaxy up to after the events of the previous movie. You`d think some of them would be angry enough to do something. Say what you want about the prequels, but they always made you believe they took place in a vibrant and culturally diverse universe. The stakes just feel so small and inconsequential in this movie when compared to even `Rogue One`. Please don`t be fooled by the thousands of Disney mandated positive reviews that have been appearing online - this movie is a dog, and it leaves me with absolutely no interest in where these movies are going nor desire to see what happens next. R.I.P. my childhood hero and role model Luke Skywalker, and commiserations to Mark Hamill. You didn`t deserve this treatment at all dude.

Well what can I say, I was forced to see this by my daughter, we wanted to see the new Dracula untold, I thought the idea sounded OK until the movie started that is, it was quite boring to say the least. No one entered the maze until a fare chunk of the movie had already passed, the title should of been called "field talker" because that`s what they did for the most part. I can`t fault the acting or camera work but I can fault the script, seems like its just another teenage book made into a movie to cash in on the craze of making movies from books, (it`s long been suggested that Hollywood has no original ideas left and copy books and movie ideas from foreign movie makers) To add to my disappointment the movie didn`t end but pretty much says to be continued, what? I sat through this crap for them to tell me that I`m up for another $8.50 to see what happens next, The guy from "meet the millers" who`s also in another great new (English) movie called "plastic" should be ashamed of being involved in this commercial drivel. Average rating of 7.4 what!

Not only it went against the prequel`s story, but also it left the door open for another film. Nothing happens in this after all. All they did is take our money, put us to sleep very likely and tell us to come back and give them more money for the inevitable sequel/franchise/universe/vomit. Here are things hinted at but not resolved: dystopia, army, child birth, successor, corporate corruption and of course lovers` relationship. Don`t give it your money. Three stars for the girlfriend`s eyes, hair, thighs and home cooking.

Yesterday I got a chance to see the advanced premier screening and was pleasantly satisfied with this movie, considering that I did not even know of its existence before seeing the trailer. The plot is very solid where we get an introduction of what the Mortal Engines and these moving cities are all about, then we get an understanding who the main heroes/villains are followed by some plot development and a grand finale with the possibility of ending the series here and now or continuing following the books. Overall a good movie with great cinematography, interesting plot with potential for the future. There is nothing jaw-dropping or over the top action or deep meaning behind actions.
